It what's for dinner (and lunch)

Mmmmmmm BEEF!!

How is everyone doing today? Sorry I haven't been able to post, the interwebs were down here in the office for a loooong time and I was forced to see some nasty nasty clients! But we're back on the grid now & I can vent!! :)

Last night we grilled up the local, grass-fed NY strip steaks and Oh mai ceiling cat were they every deeeeeee-lish!!!!!!! I will mos-def be picking up some more steaks next time I go to Whole Foods.

I covered them in salt, pepper & Montréal steak seasoning. I served them with modified zucchini a scapece recipe that I found from Food Network. Instead of making this into a cold salad, I just sautéed everything together, omitted the vinegar and must've forgotten to add garlic! Hmph I deserve to be slapped for that! I used some of my new Bombay veggie seasoning from Whole Foods and it was a great accompaniment to the steaks.

For dessert I ate two squares of my new chocolate bar.

This is another local company (in Raleigh) and the combination of salty & dark chocolate is awesome!

This morning I slept in and was late to work (bummer) so I made a simple green monster to go. Today's recipe: 2 cups spinach, 1 banana, 1 T almond butter, 2 T coconut oil, cinnamon, 1 cup almond milk, 2 cups ice, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder.

I also had two little sausage-balls before rushing out the door.

I've felt fairly light-headed and sleepy all day long so I'm definitely going to get to bed early tonight! At lunch I heated up some roast beef & leftover Bombay veggies.

And had a glass of blueberries for dessert! :)

I watched Australia yesterday and I really liked it!!! I cried a bit at the end, which is okay, everyone needs a little cry now & then! The husband saw this movie while he was deployed and thought it was just awful, so he took the time to study. Tonight we're having chicken for dinner--I've got some marinating in Trader Joe's Island Soyaki. I'm making roasties for the husband, we'll have salade and I'm going to broil some okra for myself. ah, i'm so jealous of the salty chocolate! I've been hearing about these salted dark chocolate bars, but i can't find them anywhere!

your green smoothies always sound so good!
