The tortoise & the deer

Good morning folks! I had a time getting up this morning, but I made it to Crossfit on time! Recap from last night:

We went over to the trail for a nice 5 mile walk. I brought my phone along since the husband was going to run while I walked. I got to talk with my mom for a good half hour, so that was great! :) Hi Mom! Anyways, I saw a turtle while walking but I didn't think of taking his picture since I was talking on the phone. Then awhile later I saw a deer! He let me get close enough to take his picture in the brush.

The husband had caught up with me at this point and was walking with me, then we saw ANOTHER deer!

How about that?!?! It's pretty funny that I couldn't get a picture of the slow animal and got two pics of deer!

For dinner, I made a humongous salade out of spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, celery, onion, guacamole, olive oil & vinegar.

Had some leftover roast beef (it's not very pretty)

And a bowl full of cherries!

Let me tell you after all that food I was stuffed! But I was pretty hungry at the end of my walk. Oh I forgot to say that I ran the last 1/2 mile!!!! I figure 2 months recovery after my stress fracture is enough time and I'll start slowly incorporating running into my walks. But when I got out of the truck at home, my foot was KILLING me. :( It only hurt for a few minutes though, today it feels great. :)
This morning I had a date with the Grim Reaper of Crossfit. It was murder trying to get myself out of my nice comfy bed today! I made a green monster to drink in the car after the workout, snacked on some pecan-cherry-cranberry mix from WF before my torture session Crossfit started.

Today's WOD 7 Rounds for Time:

5 pull-ups
5 burpees
5 DB thrusters
40 jump ropes

I finished in 21:58! Not bad and I feel great now that I'm finished! :) Once I got home I made a nice fluffy cheddar cheese omelet for breakfast.

I used 2 eggs, 3/4 oz cheese, 1 t butter

I'm still buried under paperwork here at the office, so I'd better get cracking! Here's my morning snack for later. This is the last of my fruit leathers! :'( I love those things!!

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!!! :)

May seem silly but may I ask exactly how you made your omlette? It looks PERFECT! And the cheese in the middle, when did you add it in & what brand did you use? Thank you:)
