Out with the old

Today I plan on getting rid of all the junk in my house. Most people wouldn't recognize my junk as junk per se, more like hippie foods but they're junk to me! All of my whole grains and wheat flours are going in the trash today! Off the top of my head there's bulgur, whole wheat couscous, brown rice, dried beans, grits, cornmeal and whole wheat pasta. I'll have to take stock of my pantry when I get home at lunch.

This morning I went to Crossfit and it totally kicked my rear!! We did three rounds of 400m row, 21 kettlebell swings (12kg) and 12 burpees. There was a time limit and if you went over 14 minutes, there was an EXTRA KILLER workout of 200 jumpropes and more death & destruction that I didn't read. Partly because I was sure that I'd get under 14:00 and partly that I was too scared to know what happened next! After my warmup of 1000m row, 20 situps, 20 GHD situps, 20 overhead squats; it was time for the workout. Well I was going strong and got some great encouragement from Brigitte and John for those last set of burpees--I got in just under the limit at 13:59!!!!! I felt like crying and puking and crying for my mommy all at the same time. But I did it!!! And now my arms are a little shaky but I feel great!

I came home and made a ham omelet to go along with my green monster (not pictured)

With my tea I'm having some Paleo Energy Bars

And my snack from yesterday afternoon that I didn't eat. I know I'll be starving this morning after such a rough workout!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

What is your favorite workout? What's your most hated exercise?

My favorite workouts besides Crossfit are kickboxing and yoga (even though I really don't do them as often as I should) My most hated is burpees and bicycle crunches.
